A Sculptra® treatment session typically takes about 30–45 minutes. The product is injected into targeted areas of volume loss using precise placement techniques.
Mild swelling is common immediately after treatment due to the sterile water dilution and typically subsides within a few days. For optimal collagen stimulation, a series of treatments — usually 2–3 sessions spaced several weeks apart — is often recommended.
Results develop gradually over several weeks as collagen production increases, with full correction typically visible after completing the treatment series.
Patients should follow the “5-5-5 rule” after treatment: massage the treated area for 5 minutes, 5 times per day, for 5 days. This helps ensure even product distribution and reduces the risk of nodules. Mild swelling, bruising, or tenderness may occur temporarily.
Sculptra® is ideal for patients experiencing age-related volume loss in the cheeks, temples, jawline, and lower face who prefer subtle, gradual enhancement.
It is not designed as a traditional filler for lips or under-eye areas and works best for overall facial structural rejuvenation.
Sculptra® is a biostimulatory injectable made of poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) that stimulates the body’s natural collagen production. Unlike traditional dermal fillers that create immediate volume, Sculptra gradually restores facial structure and firmness over time, improving skin thickness and elasticity for natural-looking, long-lasting results.
